FamilyMart, Chunghwa Post expand parcel delivery across Taiwan
New service enables customers to ship parcels from FamilyMart stores nationwide, combining convenience retail access with postal delivery coverage.
FamilyMart and Chunghwa Post have launched a nationwide parcel delivery service in Taiwan, allowing customers to send packages of up to 10 kilograms from any FamilyMart location across the country.
The initiative is designed to capitalize on the growing e-commerce logistics sector by combining FamilyMart’s extensive convenience store network with Chunghwa Post’s nationwide delivery capabilities. Parcels dropped off at participating stores will be delivered directly to designated addresses, with a promotional shipping rate available through the end of the year.
The new service expands a previous collaboration between the two companies that was limited to parcels weighing up to one kilogram. By increasing the weight limit to 10 kilograms, the partners aim to provide a more flexible shipping option for both consumers and small businesses.
FamilyMart highlighted the round-the-clock accessibility of its stores as a key advantage of the service. The retailer also pointed to Chunghwa Post’s ability to reach rural and offshore areas, helping extend delivery coverage beyond major urban centers.
According to Chunghwa Post, Taiwan’s parcel delivery market has grown significantly over the past decade, with convenience store pickup and home delivery services accounting for a substantial share of that increase. The postal operator said the partnership will make parcel services more accessible by allowing customers to ship packages outside traditional post office operating hours.
The service is expected to strengthen FamilyMart’s role in Taiwan’s fast-growing convenience and e-commerce ecosystem, where retailers increasingly provide logistics, payment and collection services in addition to traditional retail offerings.
