Four Rivers Co-op acquires 10 retail fuel locations in Canada
The retailer will take over the sites previously owned by Husky located in the northern region of the British Columbia.
Four Rivers Co-op has announced the purchase of 10 Husky retail fuel sites after the brand sold almost 50 other locations. These sites will allow the retailer to grow their services in existing local communities and enable them to expand into new areas.
“As a Co-op, we are focused on investing into communities and bringing value to our members. Adding these sites to our fuel network signals our Co-op’s commitment to growing and serving our communities for the long term,” said Allan Bieganski, General Manager, Four Rivers Co-op.
The acquired forecourts were purchased from Federated Co-operative Limited (FCL) as part of its agreement to acquire 171 Husky retail fuel sites from Cenovus Energy Inc., which was announced in November 2021. Four Rivers Co-op has officially taken ownership of these sites since September 13.
These fuel sites will continue to operate under Husky brand until they are re-branded as Co-op or one of the company’s independent brands. My Husky Rewards members can still earn and redeem points on all applicable transactions at Husky-branded sites although Co-op members will not be able to use their Co-op numbers at these new locations while they are branded as Husky.
