Gulf celebrates fifth year in Argentina, plans further expansion

The brand currently operates in Chile and Brazil as well and plans to operate a total of 600 service stations throughout the region.

Gulf is celebrating its fifth anniversary in Argentina thanks to its local licensee, DeltaPatagonia. The company opened the first branded service station in 2019 and has been expanding since then, reaching other further countries across Latin America.

"We are proud of the brand’s growth but also of the professional team we were able to build within the company and of the relationship we were able to establish with our network and business partners. There is an internal Delta culture and a Gulf culture within our network that we have been focusing on since 2022, when we launched the Gulf Identity program," said Eduardo Torrás, General Manager of DeltaPatagonia.

In Argentina, the first Gulf station opened in the city of Buenos Aires in 2019. The brand also expanded in the region through strategic partners in Brazil and Chile. Fit Combustíveis, the main fuel distributor in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and Chile's Combustibles Cabal are part of its portfolio of partners.

This development is part of a plan to establish approximately 600 stations throughout the three countries.

"On this anniversary we will continue working to achieve the positioning that the brand has at international level with its more than 100 years of history, and to achieve the goal of reaching 150 outlets across the country without neglecting one of our main values: the proximity to our customers, which we are convinced is one of the main competitive advantages we have in the market," said Federico Garzino, Sales and Network Planning Manager of DeltaPatagonia.

DeltaPatagonia's shareholder group operates under different brands across Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. This has resulted in a combined network of over 830 service stations and other businesses, such as fuel trading, aviation fuel plants and ports.

DeltaPatagonia is an energy company based in the city of Buenos Aires, formed by a staff of professionals with experience in the global energy companies sector. Among its partners are Copetrol, Energía del Paraná and Barcos & Rodados.
