Gulf is entering a new phase of growth in the Netherlands through an expanded partnership with FincoEnergies, its exclusive retail licensee in the country. The collaboration, which also includes fuel retailer Dalhuisen, aims to strengthen the brand’s presence and visibility across the Dutch service station network.

The agreement combines Gulf’s global brand recognition with FincoEnergies’ supply capabilities and Dalhuisen’s long-standing operational experience in the local market. For the latter, the partnership aligns with its strategy to support customers with conventional fuels as well as alternative energy solutions in a changing market.

“In FincoEnergies and Dalhuisen, we have found a partner that understands the power of the brand and knows what it takes to further develop it in the Dutch market,” said Mike Jones, CEO of Gulf Oil International.

Dalhuisen will play a key role in daily operations, leveraging its knowledge of station management and market dynamics. “A strong brand helps, but ultimately it has to happen at the location itself,” said Peter Dalhuisen, Managing Director FincoEnergies / Dalhuisen, highlighting the importance of execution at site level.

The partners plan to gradually increase branded sites by collaborating with independent fuel retailers. The initiative reflects ongoing consolidation and brand repositioning in European fuel retail, as operators seek differentiation through recognizable global brands combined with local expertise.
