Kwik Trip details expansion plans for 2023

After Kwik Trip has recently outlined plans to expand into South Dakota and Michigan, it has now laid out plans for a wider expansion during 2023. The retailer aims to open a total of 31 new convenience stores across six states by the end of the year.
The news comes via a report by local news site c-storedive.com, in which a spokesperson of the company revealed details of the growth strategy. Kwik’s representative specified that most of this year’s new sites will begin construction this month, taking approximately four months to open its doors.
The company plans to open 10 new Kwik Trip locations in Minnesota, followed by eight in Wisconsin, six in South Dakota, four in Iowa, two in Michigan and one in Illinois. The first batch of these shops are expected to open in August, as construction is set to begin shortly.
Kwik Trip is one of the largest operators of convenience stores in the United States, operating a network of approximately 800 stores across the country. The brand currently has presence in Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin as well as in Illinois and Iowa under the name Kwik Star.
