LEAP24 launches first UK charging point

The Dutch company has expanded to open the first British two-bay charging location in Verwood.

Dutch charging operator LEAP24 has officially opened its first charging point in the United Kingdom, located in Verwood, Dorset.

The new two-bay charging station aims to serve the local community and businesses by providing convenient and accessible charging options for electric vehicle (EV) drivers. The grand opening of the new 180kW ultra-rapid charger was marked by a ceremonial charge of the first vehicle by Councillor Toni Coombs.

“Our goal is to build a network of ultra-rapid charging locations throughout the UK and other countries. By providing convenient and reliable charging infrastructure, we are helping to accelerate the adoption of EVs and contribute to a cleaner future,” explained Pelle Schlichting, CEO and co-founder of LEAP24.

As the UK continues to transition towards a more sustainable transportation sector, the availability of accessible and reliable EV charging infrastructure is essential. The opening of this new charging point is a significant milestone for LEAP24 and a positive development for the local community.
