Love’s adds Illinois travel stop, upgrades stores in Oklahoma and Kansas
New Rock Falls location brings 85 truck parking spaces as Love’s continues expanding capacity and modernizing existing sites.
Love’s Travel Stops has opened a new travel stop in Rock Falls, Illinois, adding 85 truck parking spaces along the Interstate 88 corridor while completing renovations at locations in Oklahoma and Kansas.
The Rock Falls site, located at Interstate 88 and State Route 40, becomes Love’s 37th location in Illinois and is positioned between Rochelle, Illinois, and the Iowa border. The facility is designed to serve professional drivers, motorists and RV travelers while expanding truck parking and fueling capacity on a key freight route. Love’s said it has added 1,076 truck parking spaces nationwide so far in 2026, addressing ongoing parking shortages across the trucking industry.
The new travel stop spans 1,184 m2 and includes seven diesel bays, four showers, laundry facilities, a CAT Scale, 81 car parking spaces and a dog park. The location has also been prepared for future electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure if demand emerges.
Alongside the Illinois opening, the company has completed remodels at a store in southeast Oklahoma City and four locations on the Kansas Turnpike, including Belle Plaine, El Dorado (Towanda), Cassoday (Matfield Green) and Topeka. The upgrades were aimed at improving traffic flow and updating customer facilities.
To mark the projects, Love’s announced community donations totaling $35,000. The company donated $10,000 in connection with the Rock Falls opening, split between Sauk Valley Foodbank and Stead Family Children’s Hospital. An additional $25,000 was donated to Children’s Miracle Network-affiliated organizations in Oklahoma and Kansas.
