Love’s opens first new location of 2026 in Colorado
Fresh food, RV services and future EV‑charging capacity anchor early‑year expansion.
Love’s Travel Stops has opened its first new location of 2026 in Alamosa, Colorado, marking the latest step in the company’s broader expansion strategy for the year. The new country store strengthens Love’s presence in the region while offering travelers fresh food, clean restrooms, RV amenities and access to Godfather’s Pizza.
The Alamosa store features Love’s daily prepared fresh food, including sandwiches, salads, wraps and cut fruit, all made in an open‑kitchen format designed to give customers full visibility into preparation. The location also includes parking and services for RVers, along with space allocated for future electric vehicle (EV) chargers to be installed in partnership with utility companies should customer demand grow.
As part of the grand‑opening celebration, the company is donating $5,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of San Luis Valley and $5,000 to Children’s Hospital Colorado, continuing its tradition of community support across the country.
The opening aligns with Love’s Road Ahead Plan, which includes $700 million in investment during 2026 to support new construction, remodels and upgrades across its network. As part of this strategy, the retailer expects to open 20 new sites and refresh 35 existing stores, with a focus on delivering stronger guest experiences for travelers, professional drivers and local communities.
