Maverik to rebrand all Kum & Go locations
The company will unify its combined footprint to deliver a “consistently elevated convenience store experience.”
Maverik, which completed its acquisition of Kum & Go in August 2023, has announced plans to rebrand all Kum & Go stores under the Maverik name.
In a statement to the Des Moines Register, the company confirmed that it is currently in the process of rebranding the Kum & Go locations to unify its combined footprint. However, the company did not provide a specific timeline for the rebranding, opting for a careful, market-by-market approach to ensure the best customer experience before finalizing changes in each state.
“Our focus is on delivering a consistently elevated convenience store experience across fuel, rewards, foodservice, and in-store offerings,” the company stated.
The first rebranded Kum & Go location opened in Draper, Utah, in January 2024. By April, Maverik celebrated the completion of 30 rebrands across Utah and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
To mark the first anniversary of its acquisition of the Kum & Go brand, Maverik held a ceremony in Denver to celebrate the completion of the Colorado rebrands and the kickoff of store transformations in Wyoming. Crystal Maggelet, Maverik’s new CEO, joined the Denver community to commemorate this milestone.
