MFG boosts London’s ultra-rapid charging with new Morrisons hubs
Motor Fuel Group is expanding its EV charging network in London with new ultra-rapid hubs offering 300–400kW chargers.
Motor Fuel Group (MFG), the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator, is expanding its EV charging network in London with new ultra-rapid hubs offering 300–400kW chargers, increasing its coverage within the M25 by over 30%.
Five new EV Power Hubs will be built in Morrisons car parks, including Borehamwood and Stratford. The Borehamwood site alone is part of a £3 million investment to upgrade the existing forecourt with a Burger King, Greggs, and a dedicated car wash centre.
MFG already operates ultra-rapid chargers at 150 sites in the capital. Existing hubs at St Pauls Cray, Bush Hill (A10), and Leyton (A112) will be joined by new and expanded sites, helping drivers add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
“London remains a key focus for our charging network as we help make EV ownership more convenient,” said Martin Symes, MFG’s EV Director.
Each hub offers an average of seven charging bays, supporting London’s strong demand for reliable, high-speed charging as EV adoption grows. The expansion is part of MFG’s wider £400 million commitment to EV infrastructure by 2030.
