MFG opens new EV charging hub in Swindon
Motor Fuel Group expands its ultra-rapid charging network with a new site on Marlborough Road.
Motor Fuel Group (MFG), the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator, has officially opened its latest electric vehicle (EV) Power charging hub on Marlborough Road, Swindon. The site offers ultra-rapid EV charging in a safe, well-lit location, alongside upgraded valeting and convenience retail services.
This launch is part of MFG’s nationwide investment of over £400 million to accelerate the UK’s transition to cleaner transport. The company is installing around 20 charging bays per week and aims to deploy approximately 3,000 bays in the coming years.
Martin Symes, EV Director at MFG, said: “We are clear that whilst more and more of us are switching to EVs, petrol and diesel will remain important for many decades – as such we have a dual fuel strategy that is designed to support the UK economy today, and in the future.”
With this addition, the company now operates four sites in Swindon, including Fleming Way.
The Marlborough Road hub underscores MFG’s commitment to blending everyday services for local residents and long-distance travelers while supporting the UK’s shift to lower-carbon transport.
