Murphy USA to open 50 new stores in 2025

The announcement was made after the company revealed its 2024 financial results and includes 47 raze-and-rebuilds.

Murphy USA is ramping up its growth strategy with plans to open 50 new stores in 2025, building on its growth strategy.

The announcement comes as the company revealed its 2024 financial results, reporting a net income of $502.5 million for the full year, despite a slight dip in Q4 net income compared to 2023. The company’s growth trajectory reflects its business model, driven by key areas like fuel and nicotine sales.

“Murphy USA’s strong performance in 2024 demonstrates the durability and effectiveness of our advantaged business model. We accelerated our new-store activity in 2024, completing 32 new-to-industry (NTI) stores and 47 raze-and-rebuilds, and are poised for even greater expansion in 2025 and 2026,” said Andrew Clyde, President and CEO of Murphy USA.

The company’s focus on organic growth in high-potential markets continues, with a particular emphasis on expanding in areas that align with long-term opportunities.

In addition to store openings, Murphy USA reported an increase in merchandise contribution, with Q4 2024 seeing a 5.6% increase in contribution dollars compared to the same quarter in 2023.
