OG Clean Fuels triples Italian station network
The company has acquired 11 CNG fueling stations from X3, increasing its Italian network to 15 locations and strengthening coverage along key European transport corridors.
OG Clean Fuels has expanded its presence in Italy through the acquisition of 11 Bio-CNG fueling stations from Italian operator X3, further advancing its strategy to grow its alternative fuels network across Europe.
The transaction increases OG´s Italian network from four to 15 stations and brings its total footprint to around 400 locations across the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, France and Italy.
Most of the acquired sites are located in Northern Italy, including La Spezia, Carpiano, Vicenza, Fiorenzuola, Gallarate and other logistics hubs positioned along major transport routes. The locations support cross-border freight movement and provide connections to France, Germany and other European markets.
"This acquisition strengthens our European network and significantly expands our impact in Italy, an important market in connecting key transport corridors," said Marcel Borger, CEO of OG Clean Fuels.
The stations currently offer compressed natural gas (CNG) and will be gradually upgraded to supply 100% Bio-CNG as part of the company's strategy to support lower-emission road transport. The network serves a range of customers, including logistics operators, public transport fleets and municipal services, with several sites already handling heavy-duty vehicles.
The acquisition follows OG Clean Fuels' expansion into France through the purchase of Proviridis last year and supports its broader growth plans across the continent. The company said Italy plays an important role in connecting European transport flows and will be integrated into its network through phased branding, digital service and customer experience updates.
