OMV, Pražská boost ultra-fast EV charging in Czech Republic
The new agreement aims to install over 100 ultra-fast charging stations nationwide by 2030, including sites at selected BILLA supermarkets.
OMV Česká republika and Pražská energetika (PRE) have unveiled an ambitious plan to significantly expand the ultra-fast charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) across the Czech Republic.
Building on their 2020 partnership, which brought PRE POINT fast and ultra-fast chargers to OMV fuel stations nationwide, the new plan envisions the installation of 113 ultra-fast charging stations across 48 sites. Both partners will jointly coordinate investments, site selection and development planning, reinforcing their strategic alliance in the e-mobility sector with new chargers delivering between 300 and 400 kW.
By 2030, these stations will add a total of 168 new charging points equipped with CCS2 connectors. Many locations will be designed as advanced charging hubs, each featuring up to six ultra-powerful chargers.

The companies are also partnering with grocery retailer BILLA to integrate ultra-fast charging at selected supermarket sites, making quick, convenient charging part of everyday shopping for customers.
With this strengthened collaboration, OMV and PRE continue to play a pivotal role in accelerating the country’s shift to e-mobility. Their joint investments in sustainable infrastructure are designed to ensure that Czech EV drivers have easy access to ultra-fast charging whenever and wherever they need it.
