OOMCO expands operations in Saudi Arabia, Tanzania
The company inaugurated several one-stop-shop forecourts as part of its expansion strategy throughout the region.
Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) has inaugurated a total of 23 service stations across the Saudi Arabia and Tanzania. These openings are part of the company’s regional expansion strategy for its network of one-stop-shop sites.
The new Saudi forecourts consist of three fueling locations in Jeddah, Al Dhahran and Al Safwah respectively, extending the company’s presence across the Kingdom up to 12 points of sale. Meanwhile, the Oman-based firm has reached its 11th service station in Tanzania, its first site at the centre of the capital city, Dar es Salaam.
“Our expansion strategy gives us the opportunity to not only boost our business expansion, but also leverage the strength of the ongoing bilateral trade relationship between Oman and Saudi Arabia. We also continue to invest in Tanzania because of the country’s projected growth in the number of vehicles, as well as its positive macroeconomic outlook and stability,” said Jaber Al-Wahaibi, General Manager of International Retail at OOMCO.
The brand’s stations offer fueling capabilities as well as branded food, beverages, and automotive services as the company continues to grow ‘beyond the pump’. These locations are among key growth markets for the company with more and more service stations becoming available to customers in these two countries, which both have a long-standing bilateral relationship with the Sultanate of Oman.
OOMCO aims to operate a total of 26 stations across Saudi Arabia and 17 stations in Tanzania by 2023.
