OXXO partners with FINSUS for cash withdraws at 24,000 stores

The service allows users to request a withdrawal at the checkout and easily access cash.

Mexican convenience store chain OXXO has partnered with digital financial institution FINSUS to let customers withdraw cash using their FINSUS Mastercard debit cards at more than 24,000 stores across the country.

The service allows users to request a withdrawal at the checkout, insert their card into the payment terminal and enter their PIN. Customers can take out up to 3,000 pesos per transaction, with a 20-peso fee charged by OXXO.

The companies present the move as a step towards greater financial inclusion in Mexico, where access to ATMs and traditional bank branches remains uneven, particularly outside major cities. Beyond cash withdrawals, OXXO already offers bill payments, remittance collection and money transfers, reinforcing its role as a key player in Mexico’s retail-based financial services ecosystem.

FINSUS CEO Carlos Marmolejo said the alliance helps “integrate the digital with the everyday”, while Eduardo Velasco, OXXO Mexico’s director of services, described the chain as aiming to act as an “enabler of financial inclusion” nationwide.
