PowerGo rolls out EV charging at hotels across the Netherlands

New partnership with Essendi supports sustainable travel and strengthens hotels’ role in energy transition.

Hotel operator Essendi (formerly AccorInvest) has partnered with charge point operator PowerGo to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across its hotel network in the Netherlands.

The collaboration brings fast and convenient charging solutions to guests and visitors, with the first locations already operational in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Each hotel will feature a mix of 150 kW ultra-fast chargers and 22 kW standard chargers, enabling EV drivers to fully recharge during their stay.

Additional installations are underway at other Essendi properties, including Ibis and Novotel hotels near Schiphol Airport and in Rotterdam Brainpark.

The chargers operate with dynamic pricing, encouraging use when renewable energy is most available and reducing strain on the grid.

Paul Sieljes, Head of Operations at PowerGo, noted that the collaboration merges hotel sector insight with EV infrastructure expertise: “We’re helping hotels offer a seamless and sustainable experience while expanding access to green charging.”

As demand for EV charging grows, Essendi and PowerGo are exploring further locations for future expansion, reinforcing hotels’ roles in supporting the broader environmental transition.
