PTT Philippines ramps up expansion with $26.8mn
The company shared plans to grow its network from 170 to 280 service stations by 2030.
PTT Philippines Corporation is set to invest ₱1.5 billion ($26.8mn) over the next four years as it accelerates its growth in the country’s fuel and convenience landscape. The bold expansion includes boosting its retail fuel network, scaling its Café Amazon coffee chain, and introducing cleaner energy options, including EV charging and solar-powered stations.
Announced during the launch of its new brand campaign, “Go! with PTT,” the company shared plans to grow its network from 170 to 280 service stations by 2030, with 15 new sites scheduled for rollout this year. Most of the upcoming developments will be concentrated in Luzon and the Visayas.
PTT Philippines President and CEO Athiwat Rattanakorn noted that around ₱500 million ($8.9mn) will be earmarked for expanding the fuel station network, while ₱300 million to ₱500 million ($5.4mn to $8.9mn) will go toward Café Amazon, the group’s Thai coffee chain. The company aims to grow its café presence in the country from the current eight stores to 100 by the end of the decade.
“Our goal is to not only meet the growing fuel demands of Filipinos but to offer a broader, more holistic experience through non-fuel services like Café Amazon. We see this as a key part of our identity moving forward,” Rattanakorn said.
In line with its sustainability goals, PTT Philippines is also scaling its green energy initiatives. The company plans to expand its solar-powered station count from 20 to 120 by the end of 2025, aiming for a total solar generation capacity of 3 megawatts.
EV charging stations are also in the pipeline, with at least one to be introduced soon. The company said future expansion in this space will depend on how quickly EV adoption grows in the Philippine market.
