Puma Energy launches loyalty app in Botswana
Puma PRIS introduces a digital loyalty platform for fuel and in-store purchases, supporting cashless payments and data-driven retail in the country’s energy sector.
Puma Energy Botswana has launched Puma PRIS, the brand’s digital loyalty app designed to reshape how customers engage with fuel purchases and everyday spending across its service station network.
The app is the first fully integrated fuel loyalty solution in Botswana, allowing users to earn points on both fuel and in-store purchases at Puma Energy stations. Rewards can be redeemed for a range of everyday goods and services within Puma’s retail ecosystem and partner outlets, positioning the platform as part of a broader move toward digital retail and cashless transactions.
At the launch, General Manager Tendai Mwewa said the initiative aims to go beyond traditional fuel discounts. “The platform is designed to turn routine fuel stops into meaningful value for customers and their families,” she said, adding that Puma PRIS reflects the company’s strategy to build digital ecosystems that support convenience and long-term economic growth.
The initiative has also been welcomed by government authorities. Agnes Mothobi, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, noted that the app aligns with national development priorities by promoting digital inclusion, secure cashless payments and wider participation in the digital economy.
Beyond loyalty rewards, the Puma PRIS app includes built-in dashboards and analytics that allow users to track spending, monitor consumption patterns and manage their finances more effectively—features that signal a shift toward data-driven energy retail.
