Robert Joore, Country Chair and Managing Director of TotalEnergies Marketing Nederland, has announced his retirement, concluding a career of more than 40 years, most of it spent with TotalEnergies.

His position as Managing Director will be taken over by Alex Barendse, who will continue to oversee the subsidiary’s B2B activities. A successor for Joore as Country Chair will be announced in the near future.

Joore joined TotalEnergies in 1989 within the Dutch Marketing & Services division and went on to hold several international management and executive roles. In 2021, he returned to the Netherlands with the ambition of playing a leading role in the energy transition. Under his leadership, the company developed and implemented an integrated multi-energy strategy aimed at achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

Key projects during his tenure included initiatives in offshore wind, green hydrogen production, CO₂ storage, and the rollout of EV charging and hydrogen refueling stations. The Dutch service station network was also divested to sharpen the focus on low-carbon energy solutions. Another milestone was the consolidation of nine branches into a new headquarters in The Hague in 2023.

Beyond his work at TotalEnergies, Joore has been active in fostering Dutch-French relations. He serves as a French Foreign Trade Advisor, a board member of the French Chamber of Commerce and the Alliance Française, and, since 2023, chairman of VEMOBIN, the Association for Energy in Mobility and Industry.
