Rolande opens new bio-LNG station in Germany
The new site strengthens Rolande’s network and supports the transition to cleaner heavy transport in Germany.
With the official opening of its new Bio-LNG station in Großmehring, Rolande has taken another major step toward making heavy road transport more sustainable in Germany. To celebrate the launch, the company is offering an introductory price of €0.65 per kilo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the new site until November 30.
Located directly along the A9, one of Europe’s most important north–south logistics corridors, the new station plays a key role in connecting southern Germany with Rolande’s existing network in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the rest of Germany.
“We continue to invest in expanding our network to accelerate the transition to sustainable transport across Europe — without compromising profitability, range, or availability,” said Jolon van der Schuit, CEO of Rolande.
Equipped with two LNG pumps, wide access lanes, and self-service functionality, the site is designed for intensive use by international hauliers. The new site supplies 100% Bio-LNG, produced from organic waste streams such as manure and food waste.
With the opening of the Großmehring site, Rolande further strengthens its role in clean, reliable, and accessible Bio-LNG infrastructure for the heavy transport sector.
