Sheetz expands central Ohio presence with two new store openings
The popular brand has the goal of reaching 50 locations in central Ohio by the end of 2025.
Sheetz has officially expanded its footprint in central Ohio with the opening of two new convenience stores and gas stations in the Columbus area.
To support the local community, Sheetz is donating $2,500 to two Columbus-area food pantries: NNEMAP Food Pantry and the Westland Ecumenical Community Food Pantry. Additionally, the company is contributing $5,000 to the Special Olympics of Ohio.
The new locations are part of Sheetz’s broader strategy to grow in central Ohio. Since announcing its regional expansion in 2019, the Pennsylvania-based chain opened its first store in Delaware, Ohio, in 2021 and has since developed a strong presence with over 36 locations in the area. Across Ohio, Sheetz operates 116 stores, the third-most of any state following Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Some of the new locations have been built on redeveloped sites formerly home to local restaurants.
With a goal of reaching 50 locations in central Ohio by the end of 2025, Sheetz continues to position itself as a key player in the regional convenience store and fuel retail market, combining foodservice, fuel, and community engagement in its ongoing expansion.
