Shell partners with Puma Energy in Honduras

Both players have partnered through a brand license agreement to bring Shell fuels and products to Honduras consumers.

The Shell brand will enter Honduras’ fuel retailing market later this year following an agreement between Shell and Puma Energy.

The Retail Brand License Agreement will give Honduran consumers access to Shell’s premium fuel and lubricant portfolio, together with comprehensive offers in lower-emission fuels and convenience retail.

Stations in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula will be the first in Honduras to adopt the Shell brand, with the target of completing a strong nationwide presence of 100 service stations over time.

"We are pleased to be working with our experienced local partner Puma Energy to deliver the same great products and experience to drivers in Honduras. This is part of our strategy to grow the Shell brand in Latin America and around the world through brand licensing,” said István Kapitány, Global Executive Vice President of Shell Mobility.

"Customers will benefit from more choice and a wider network of Shell and Puma Energy retail sites across Honduras,” added Jose Antonio Alfaro, Puma Energy’s Regional Retail Manager.

Puma Energy has been present in Honduras since 2006 and now operates 230 sites across Honduras, including 30 Super7 Convenience stores and 19 retail sites powered by solar energy.
