SPAR opens new store in Bitola as North Macedonia rollout continues
Viva Fresh Group has committed to investing more than €45 million in North Macedonia.
Viva Fresh Group has opened a new SPAR store in Bitola, marking the latest step in the brand's expansion across North Macedonia.
The opening builds on Viva Fresh Group's rollout of SPAR in the country, which began earlier this year in partnership with SPAR International. Existing Viva Fresh and SuperKit GO stores are being gradually converted to the SPAR format, bringing what the company describes as a modern retail concept built on European standards, a stronger product assortment and improved logistics.
"We are proud to bring the city a modern shopping concept, a wide range of products, fresh categories and service in line with SPAR's international standards," the company said in a statement marking the opening.
Viva Fresh Group has committed to investing more than €45 million in North Macedonia over the next three years, covering a new logistics centre, new store openings and the conversion of existing locations to the SPAR brand. The company said the Bitola launch reflects its commitment to staying close to the communities in which it operates and improving the everyday shopping experience for customers.
Viva Fresh Group thanked its team, partners and visitors who took part in the opening, calling it an important milestone for the company in the city.
