Tank & Rast unveils EV app with discounts in Germany

New mblty platform aims to streamline EV travel and enhance stopover experience on German motorways.

Tank & Rast is stepping up its support for electric mobility with the launch of a new app from its e-mobility subsidiary, mblty GmbH.

The platform combines navigation, charging, and billing features for electric vehicle (EV) drivers, while also offering discounts on food at participating stations and truck stops along the German autobahn network. Users who start a charging session via the app will be notified of several available coupons, which can be redeemed on-site for discounted items such as hot meals, snacks, or drinks.

Among the offers are promotions like the Schnitzel Box or Falafel Box “Nordic Style,” Evian bottled water, or chocolate bars from Knoppers.

With this move, Tank & Rast aims to enhance the convenience of EV travel by making the stopover more rewarding for drivers. The app also integrates a location search to help users find charging stations along their route, with full cost transparency and digital invoicing.

As both a Charge Point Operator (CPO) and Electro Mobility Provider (EMP), mblty continues to expand the company’s high-speed charging network and ensure access to a wide range of public charging points, including those operated by partners.
