Tunisian Executive Mejdi Mbarek takes the helm at OLA Energy Cameroon
He brings nearly 17 years of experience to the role, including extensive leadership positions at Shell and Vivo Energy.
OLA Energy Cameroon has confirmed the appointment of Mejdi Mbarek as its new General Manager, succeeding Mohamed Ali Amira. The change was officially communicated through an announcement marking a new chapter for the energy firm in Cameroon.
Mejdi Mbarek brings nearly 17 years of experience to the role, including extensive leadership positions at Shell and Vivo Energy. Since September 2024, he has overseen retail and non-fuel operations at OLA Energy Cameroon.
Holding an industrial engineering degree and an MBA, Mbarek is expected to infuse the business with a new strategic vision aimed at expanding the company’s footprint in a rapidly evolving energy market.
In response to the leadership transition, OLA Energy praised Mbarek’s “renewed energy, fresh strategic vision, and strong commitment to reinforcing its pursuit of excellence across the country.”
Founded through the rebranding of Libya Oil Holdings, OLA Energy operates more than 1,200 service stations and serves over 250,000 customers daily across Africa.
