UTA Edenred expands Shell partnership to entire German network

500 additional stations bring full nationwide access for UTA cardholders.

UTA Edenred has strengthened its partnership with Shell by adding 500 more service stations in Germany to its acceptance network. As of 1 September, UTA Card holders can now access all 1,950 Shell stations nationwide, making it the first independent fuel card provider in Germany to secure full Shell acceptance.

The agreement enables UTA customers to purchase diesel, petrol, AdBlue, LNG, HVO100 and lubricants at Shell locations, as well as car cleaning services.

“Shell is one of our longest-standing partners and we’re pleased to be the first mobility service provider in Germany to offer full Shell acceptance,” said Lukas Schneider, Commercial Director EMEA at UTA Edenred. “Following earlier agreements this year with Shell in Spain and the UK, the German expansion is our latest joint milestone.”

In recent months, UTA Edenred has broadened its Shell coverage across Europe, adding 270 stations in Spain and the Balearic Islands, along with more than 500 stations in the United Kingdom.

“Shell and UTA Edenred already have a long-standing, successful partnership in many European markets,” said Jérôme Reinecke, Head of Roaming and Pricing Europe at Shell. “We are delighted to welcome UTA Edenred customers to more Shell fuel stations in Germany and to offer them our wide range of high-quality products and services.”

UTA Edenred’s acceptance network spans over 88,000 points in 38 European countries, giving cardholders access to conventional and alternative fuels, an expanding HVO100 offering, and services ranging from toll settlement and repairs to parking and multimodal transport.

In parallel, its UTA eCharge® platform is gradually rolling out a 360° electromobility solution across Europe, covering all charging scenarios and vehicle types.
