Virši adds new Salacgrīva station to fuel retail network
Latvian energy company opens a strategic site along the Riga–Tallinn corridor.
Virši has expanded its national fuel retail footprint with the opening of a new service station in Salacgrīva, along the key Riga–Tallinn route.
The new location strengthens the company’s presence along the A1 motorway, with a newly developed 7,900 m² site designed to serve both passenger and freight vehicles. A 109 m² convenience store on-site offers a wide selection of food, beverages, and automotive goods, as well as amenities such as windshield washer fluid on tap and dedicated rest areas indoors and outdoors.
Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Management Board of Virši, called the new site “a strategically important project” and confirmed it is the company’s 83rd service station, as Virši works toward its goal of operating 90 sites by the end of 2027.
By the end of the year, two electric vehicle (EV) charging points with a combined capacity of 400 kW are expected to be installed, reinforcing the station’s focus on sustainability.
Solar panels with a 39 kW capacity have also been mounted on the roof to support the site’s energy needs during sunny periods.
