YPF, Tesla explore EV charging rollout opportunities
Argentine energy company signs agreement to assess fast charging, storage and e‑mobility innovation after Texas Gigafactory visit.
YPF is exploring new opportunities in e-mobility, with a focus on electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, following a visit to Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas by CEO Horacio Marín. During the visit, the company signed a letter of intent to evaluate potential collaboration in fast-charging networks, energy storage and advanced technology development.
The agreement, discussed with Tesla representatives Igor Antarov and Michael Snyder, reflects YPF’s interest in expanding its role in the evolving mobility landscape. As electrification accelerates globally, the company is assessing how new technologies can be integrated into its operations and future energy offerings.
