Pony Express has launched the Pony Express Rewards app, expanding its customer loyalty offering with a mobile platform that allows customers to earn points on in-store purchases and fuel transactions.

Points can be redeemed for free products and digital coupons through an integrated rewards marketplace. In addition to points-based rewards, the platform includes digital club programs for beverages, app-exclusive promotions and referral incentives.

Customers can also participate in daily games for opportunities to win additional rewards, discounts and points. The retailer said the program is designed to provide a consistent rewards experience across both fuel and convenience purchases.

“Every time a customer fills up or steps into one of Pony Express stores, we want that visit to feel like it's worth something extra,” said Nicolette Mayfield, Senior Manager of Retail Operations at Pony Express. The retailer developed the app in partnership with loyalty technology provider Liquid Barcodes.

Based in Nebraska and Iowa, Pony Express operates three convenience stores offering fuel, grocery items, beverages, snacks and prepared food. The company expects the new app to support customer retention while providing additional ways for shoppers to interact with the brand both in-store and at the pump.
