7-Eleven expands in New Mexico with acquisition of 14 stores
Alon Brands has announced the acquisition of 14 convenience store locations in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from the Roberts Oil Company, which operates Roberts Oil and Pump-N Save.
The recently acquired c-stores will be rebranded to 7-Eleven, making a total of 38 7-Eleven stores in the area, reports the Albuquerque Journal.
The cost of the operation has not been revealed, but the rebranding is expected to take place in the next 90 days.
“This expansion is part of a significant investment we’re making in the Albuquerque region,” Eric Corley, regional manager for Alon Brands in Albuquerque.
“In addition to growing the ALON/7-Eleven footprint by more than 50 percent, we also just finished remodeling all of our locations in the area and built a brand new store in Rio Rancho. I’m proud of the commitment the company has made and will continue to make to this community and our customers here in Albuquerque,” he added.
Alon has stated they will maintain Robert Oil employees, while intending to create additional jobs.
