ADNOC Gas plc has been selected for inclusion in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, with the move set to take effect on June 2, 2025. The decision follows the company’s successful fulfillment of MSCI’s eligibility criteria and marks a significant milestone in its efforts to expand global investor reach. ADNOC Gas becomes the third company within the ADNOC Group to join the index, which tracks the performance of large and mid-cap companies across 24 emerging markets, reports WAM.

The inclusion is expected to significantly boost ADNOC Gas’s visibility among international institutional investors and could drive passive inflows estimated between $300 million and $500 million. It also supports the company’s broader strategy to diversify its investor base and enhance stock liquidity.

Fatema Mohamed Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive Officer at ADNOC Gas, described the inclusion as a key step in the company’s investor relations journey. “The inclusion supports our ambition to attract a broader and more diversified base of institutional investors and should drive greater liquidity in ADNOC Gas stock,” she said.

Al Nuaimi also highlighted the impact of the company’s recent $2.84 billion secondary offering, which raised the free float by 80% and led to a sixfold increase in average daily trading volume. She noted that the company’s ongoing strategic focus is expected to continue delivering shareholder value through 2025 and beyond.

Since its 2023 listing, ADNOC Gas has been executing a long-term growth plan, including a commitment to invest $15 billion in strategic initiatives from 2025 to 2029. These projects are aimed at reinforcing its position as a global gas leader and are expected to drive a 40% increase in EBITDA over the six-year period.
