Ampol launches campaign in support of LGBTQIA+ community

Australian Retailers Association aims to build more inclusive workplaces for LGBTQIA+ employees.

Ampol will celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community throughout February following the launch of its 'Glampol' campaign.

The campaign will raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ inclusion and drive in-store donations for Ampol Foundation charity, Minus18, across gas stations and convenience stores.

Ampol Coogee and North Bondi will play host to key Glampol activations with both stores to receive a rainbow 'glam up' to its forecourt and canopy. A 'Drag Baes Window Wash' will also be delivered on three consecutive Saturdays across the month. Ampol employees will be joined by drag queens to wash customers' windows to help drive additional fundraising for Minus18.

Ampol will also sponsor the Australian Queer Aquatics (AQuA) Festival happening across Sydney throughout February and March.

"Ampol is dedicated to inclusion across our workforce, operations and the broader community as part of our established diversity strategy," said Matt Halliday, Managing Director and CEO.
