ARKO Petroleum goes public in $200M Nasdaq debut
The wholesale fuel arm separates from ARKO’s retail business as it begins trading under the ticker “APC”.
ARKO Petroleum Corp. has officially gone public, marking a major milestone for ARKO Corp. as it separates its wholesale fuel distribution operations from its convenience‑retail division, GPM Investments. The company priced its initial public offering at $18 per share, raising roughly $200 million through the sale of 11.1 million Class A shares.
Trading under the symbol “APC” on the Nasdaq Capital Market, the listing represents the formal launch of APC as an independent, publicly traded entity. Following the offering, ARKO will retain a controlling stake through Class B shares, representing 75.9% of economic interest and 94% of voting power, with slight adjustments if the over‑allotment option is exercised.
APC now encompasses the company’s wholesale distribution business, including fuel supply to third‑party dealers and consignment agents, as well as its fleet fueling operations and the GPM Petroleum division that supplies fuel to GPM’s retail sites.
Operating independently gives APC new financial flexibility as ARKO evaluates long‑term plans that could include shifting select company‑operated c‑stores into the wholesale model to improve efficiency.
Despite the structural separation, ARKO emphasized continued investment in its retail network of approximately 1,200 c‑stores, including its evolving food‑focused store design and the expanding fas craves foodservice program.
