Autism-friendly car wash opens second location
The huge success of Rising Tide Car Wash in Parkland, Florida has led to the opening of its second location in Margate.
The car wash, whose primary mission is to employ adults with autism, now has approximately 80 staff, with about 45 at the Margate location.
Rising Tide Car Wash was founded in 2013 by John d’Eri, whose 24-year-old son Andrew has autism.
For Thomas d’Eri, brother of Andrew and co-founder of the car wash, staff with autism are their best employees.
Rising Tide wants to create more jobs and is already planning to open its third location.
The business was recently awarded The 2017 Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation Leader in Autism Award, reports Sun Sentinel.
