Bosnia-Herzegovina: Hungary’s MOL Group gives up stake in Energopetrol
Hungarian energy company MOL Group has sold its 33.5% stake in Bosnian oil company Energopetrol to INA, MOL’s subsidiary in Croatia.
The sale, according to portfolio.hu, will give INA a majority stake ownership of 67% in Energopetrol.
Twenty one percent of the fuel company is controlled by the Government of Bosnia-Herzegovina while 10.9% is publicly traded in Sarajevo Stock Exchange.
Energopetrol and INA are both major players in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Energopetrol operates more than 60 petrol stations and engages in wholesale activities in the country.
INA, 49% of which is owned by MOL Group, also runs retail and wholesale fuel business in the country, according to Budapest Business Journal.
