Buc-ee’s unveils world’s largest service station in Tennessee
The over 6,800 m2 location includes an expanded retail offer beyond fuels from brisket sandwiches to bathing suits.
Buc-ee’s has opened the world’s largest gas station in Sevierville, Tennessee, an over 6,800 m2 location that has an expanded offer beyond fueling and convenience store items.
Local news site TODAY reported that the forecourt is equipped with 120 gas pumps and employs more than 350 people. Apart from these, the new store includes a wide range of other items from fresh fudge to bathing suits.
The company is following a trend reflected in Payless Power’s recent survey, which shows customers spend an average of 20 minutes and $69.95 per visit to their favorite gas station. The brand is tapping into this data, as it expands its network of entertaining c-stores.
The research, in which Buc-ee’s ranked as No. 1 in customer service, also found that customers prioritize cleanliness, prices, food quality and customer service when visiting stores.
Nevertheless, Buc-ee’s new Tennessee location won’t hold the title of “World’s largest service station” for long. The company already has plans to build a near 7,000 m2 site in Luling, Texas.
