Global motor oil brand Castrol and bp’s TravelCenters of America (TA) have announced a high-profile partnership with NBA Champion and two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The collaboration, which runs through the 2025-26 NBA season, positions the Milwaukee Bucks forward as an official Brand Ambassador for both companies.

The partnership will kick off with a new Castrol campaign premiering during the NBA Playoffs Presented by Google. The campaign is designed to highlight Castrol’s broad impact across land, sea, air, and even space—part of a bold rebranding effort celebrating the company’s 125-year legacy and its role in powering progress across industries.

“As one of the world’s most inspiring athletes, Giannis’ story of determination and success strongly aligns with our commitment to driving innovation and excellence. It’s only fitting to introduce Giannis as part of our Castrol family ahead of the most high-energy time of the season,” said Andreas Osbar, CEO of Castrol Americas.

Nicknamed the “Greek Freak,” Antetokounmpo has captivated fans around the world with his rise from international underdog to NBA stardom.

“When I think back to my early days before entering the NBA and all that I’ve worked hard to achieve in the years since, it just proves that growth is possible if you keep moving forward. I’m excited for my journey with Castrol to share my story and inspire others to develop their own path of progress,” said Antetokounmpo.

The partnership also extends to TravelCenters of America, where Giannis will support brand efforts to engage professional drivers and everyday travelers alike. Known for its nationwide network of travel stops, TA plans to leverage Giannis' influence to deepen its connection with communities on the road.
