Circle K has rolled out its “Pay by Plate” service throughout its Latvian retail network. Drivers will now be able to pay for refueling services through the touch of a button.

Customers will need to download the Circle K Easy Fuel app, add their car number and payment card, and allow the app to locate them. Once these steps have been completed, they need to drive up to the fuel pump and start filling up.

After payment, a receipt will be sent to their emails and will also remain in the app. Customers will also be able to use the app with an additional one-click purchase confirmation.

"We have no doubt that for at least some of our customers, this service will make their visit to the petrol station even more convenient. You won't even need to carry your wallet to make such a payment - just fill up and drive away," said Rokas Laurinavičius, Head of Fuel Category for the Baltics at Circle K.

To celebrate this launch, Circle K ran an experiment where participants had to fill up with 5 liters of fuel and pay in different ways. With their times recorded, the "Pay by Plate" method, combined with refueling, was the fastest.
