Circle K reaches one million Pay by Plate transactions milestone in Europe
The solution implemented lets customers pay for fuel using sign recognition through a mobile app for a frictionless experience.
Circle K has achieved one million Pay by Plate transactions throughout its European operations. The payment technology, first deployed in the continent last year, enables customers to pay for fuel using sign recognition and a mobile app, offering a frictionless customer experience.
Currently available in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Estonia, the platform passed one million fuel purchases on branded forecourts in the region. This marks a key step on the company's journey towards making its customers' lives a little easier every day.
“One million pay by plate transactions is a great milestone and we are excited to see that more and more customers repeatedly use it. Customers are increasingly focused on ease, speed, consistency, and quality of service. We are on the right track addressing key changes that we see in consumer behaviour when we move towards a more frictionless forecourt experience,” said Martynas Dilda, Director Fuel Digital products and Customer Journey for Europe.
Countries where Circle K will deploy the technology next include Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
