Co-op launches supplier analytics platform for quick commerce
The convenience retailer has partnered with eStoreBrands to provide suppliers with access to performance, availability and search data across its quick commerce operations and delivery channels.
Co-op has partnered with eStoreBrands to launch Co-op Catalyst, a new analytics platform designed to provide suppliers with deeper insights into the retailer's quick commerce business.
The platform will give suppliers direct access to Co-op's quick commerce data across its own online channels and delivery aggregator partners. Users will be able to track product performance, search rankings and store-level availability, while working from the same data used by Co-op's category management teams.
According to the companies, the initiative is intended to help suppliers make more informed decisions and develop category recommendations based on real-time digital commerce performance. The platform combines digital shelf analytics with on-demand sales and availability data.
Co-op said the service builds on its network of approximately 2,300 convenience stores and its established partnerships with delivery aggregators, providing suppliers with greater visibility into the UK quick commerce market.
“Quick commerce is one of the fastest growing channels in digital retail, and Co-op Catalyst gives suppliers the retailer's own view of it, which site monitoring alone cannot provide,” said Francis Nicholas, VP Product Strategy at eStoreBrands.
The retailer expects the platform to support closer collaboration with suppliers by enabling data-driven decisions across product assortment, availability and category development. Co-op also noted that sharing more detailed performance insights could help identify opportunities to accelerate growth within the channel.
