Copec opens new station in Patagonia
The new station improves the access to fuel in a region with very low population density.
Copec has opened its first service station in Villa Cerro Castillo in Chile's Patagonia. It operates 24 hours a day, has a bicycle maintenance station, and facilities that allow mobile homes discharge grey water, access WiFi and charge the vehicle.
The new station improves the access to fuel in a region very low population density – drivers sometimes have to travel up to 200 kilometres to find fuel, according to Copec.
“The site reinforces Copec's commitment to always support and serve the people and the country, especially in these more extreme areas,” said Arturo Natho, Copec’s General Manager.
This week Chile’ leading fuel and convenience player also rolled out a new EV charging station in the North of the country. Copec Voltex has already installed a network of 400 electric charging stations, including 35 fast-charging stations.
