Core-Mark wins Walmart supply deal
Wholesale distributor Core-Mark Holding has signed a three-year extendable agreement to supply candy, tobacco, and snack foods to 530 Walmart Neighborhood Markets and Supercenter stores in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah, according to a company release.
Under the terms of the agreement, the service is expected to be at place on May 2017.
Core-Mark’s overall sales are also expected to increase by approximately 40% - 50% as a result of making candy as the largest product category serviced under the new arrangement.
"This strategic partnership between our two companies will create a supply-chain with more frequent deliveries than offered to these stores today," said Thomas B. Perkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of Core-Mark.
