Couche-Tard pulls “FCKD UP” alcoholic drink from shelves
Canadian convenience store chain Couche Tard has issued a directive to all stores to immediately pull the alcoholic beverage “FCKD UP” from shelves.
Couche-Tard has stressed that the sale of the alcoholic drink is 100% legal but following the recent events, the company has decided to voluntarily remove the product from the market.
Acting responsibly is a daily practice at Couche Tarde, the company said in a company release.
“We are stringent in the sale of all regulated products, whether they consist of alcohol, tobacco or lottery products. We make sure at all times that the buyer is of the legal age to purchase such products.”
Couche-Tard, the leader in the Canadian convenience store industry, has more than 12,000 convenience stores and retail fuel stations across North America, Europe, and Asia, some of which operate under the Circle K banner.
