Croatia: Tifon stations to accept cryptocurrencies
The Croatian retailer wants to attract more tourists to its stations by allowing the digital payment.
Tifon gas stations across Croatia have started accepting cryptocurrency payments for fuel and other products and services.
The Croatian OMC, part of Hungary’s MOL Group, will allow customers to pay for their purchases with cryptocurrencies at its 46 petrol stations, reports Nasdaq.
The company’s CEO Poslovni Dnvnik wants to attract more tourists to its stations during the holidays season, as cryptocurrencies has proven to be popular among some foreign groups.
Tifon will enable cryptocurrency payment through the Paycek platform developed by Zagreb-based cryptocurrency brokerage and crypto-payment processing company Electrocoin.
