DHL Express partners with Shell for charging infrastructure in France

DHL Express has partnered Shell to install chargers for 140 electric vans by July 2022. Both parties have already installed more than 260 chargers at 24 DHL Express sites since 2020 in France.
"Access to charging stations is a key issue to facilitate the use of electric vehicles and encourage its development. Our aim was to set up a clean, large-scale infrastructure to simplify the day-to-day recharging of our drivers, to support the changeover with a powerful network and to enable our partners to benefit from this network", explains Laurent Zerafa, Head of the Vehicle Fleet Department at DHL Express France.
Shell provides DHL Express with the equipment, the installation of the kiosks and various services, including an online management platform to control recharging costs, improve visibility of activities, and set parameters.

With the objective of operating 500,000 charging points worldwide by 2025, Shell intends to be a key player in supporting the electrification of fleets,” said Cédric Thillou, Director of Fleet and Mobility Solutions France - Shell Fleet Solutions.
The equipment of some fifteen additional sites is already planned in France by the beginning of 2023.
