EnBW grows high-power EV charging across major German highways
New covered charging sites in Landstuhl and Ellwangen add 18 fast chargers up to 400 kW along key German motorways.
EnBW has expanded Germany’s fast-charging network with the opening of two covered high-power charging parks along major motorway routes. The new sites are located near the A6 in Landstuhl, Rheinland-Pfalz, and the A7 in Ellwangen Jagst, Bavaria, strengthening charging coverage on heavily used travel corridors.
Together, the two locations offer 18 fast-charging points with charging capacities of up to 400 kW. The Landstuhl charging park, located on Bruchwiesenstraße, and the Ellwangen site on Max-Eyth-Straße are accessible around the clock.
“Our fast charging parks are ideally suited for short charging stops on long-distance journeys due to their convenient location close to the motorway and the high available charging capacity,” said Martin Römheld, Chief Executive Officer E-Mobility at EnBW. He added that they also serve as “important points of contact for everyday charging processes in the region, enabling the simple integration of e-mobility into people’s daily lives.”
Both areas offer nearby food and beverage options, while information on surrounding amenities is available via the EnBW mobility+ app. The new parks operate using 100% renewable electricity and each site is equipped with rooftop photovoltaic systems to support basic operations.
