E.ON Italia launchs new solution for EVs drivers
The company has installed around 4.000 high power chargers across Europe so far.
E.ON DriveSmart is all in one solution that includes all relevant information about high-powered charging stations in the country. The app enables users to track the locations of the stations on the map by linking its own software to the most renowned apps’ database in the e-mobility sector in and outside Italy.
The solution allows users to customise its profile according to their needs and also guarantees customer assitance 24/7.
E.ON DriveSmart is particularly targeted at the hospitality sector. The idea is to offer high power chargers for EVs for those customers who might be attracted by sustainable tourism facilitaties, as well as to give some accommodation businesses the edge in their market.
E.ON has installed around 4.000 high power chargers throughout Europe so far. The company’s project is to create a “high-powered highway” across seven different countries, being Italy the starting point and Norwey the end. The first station of this EVs charger network was recently opened in the highway covering the route from Würzburg and Nuremberg. The project is being co-funded by the European Union and it is foreseening to open up 180 high-powered charging stations in its first stage, to be completed within 2 years.
