Fastned launches first fast-charging stations in Spain
New sites near Barcelona mark the company’s entry into the Spanish EV charging market.
Fastned has officially entered the Spanish market with the opening of its first two fast-charging stations, located along the C-32 highway near Barcelona. The sites, named Garraf Norte and Garraf Sur, are positioned on either side of the Garraf Service Area operated by Autopistas, part of Abertis.
Each station is equipped with eight high-power chargers capable of delivering up to 400 kW, enabling drivers to recharge their vehicles quickly and continue their journeys with minimal delays. The locations offer a strategic stopover for travelers heading to the coast of Barcelona, with expansive space and views of the Mediterranean.
The launch marks a significant milestone for Fastned as it expands its network of fast-charging infrastructure beyond northern and central Europe into southern markets.
By adding Spain to its network, Fastned continues to advance its mission of accelerating the transition to e-mobility. The company has announced plans to further grow its presence in the Spanish market, with additional stations expected in the near future.
