Finnish energy firm to expand gas stations in Sweden
Finnish energy gas company, Gasum, eyes further expansion in Sweden after receiving €9.3 million of investment subsidy from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leap program.
The grant will help Gasum in opening up to 16 new gas filling stations in strategic locations in Sweden in the coming years.
It also supports Gasum’s objective of establishing a Nordic gas ecosystem, offering liquefied biogas (LBG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
In the future, the company believes, that gas will play a major role in the transition to a carbon neutral society.
"It brings us closer to our goal of reducing emissions from road transport and moving towards a low-carbon future," said Jukka Metsälä, Vice President, Biogas, Gasum.
